Racquet Up Detroit featured in the Detroit News

Didn’t grab a copy on Wednesday? Read the Detroit News article right here.

The article provides a succinct overview of our program, highlighting daily activities of squash practice and literacy development, and acknowledges the volunteers, school partners, families, and donors who make Racquet Up possible.

The article also mentions our upcoming trip to Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts for the 2012 Urban Squash Individual Nationals. Racquet Up students will compete against players from across the country in a 3-day individual squash tournament. We had a great experience last year — Cortnee Nichols came home with a plate trophy!

This year, three staff and fifteen excited students fly to Massachusetts on Friday, June 15! Wish us luck next time you stop by and be sure to check back often for updates and commentary at the tournament!
